WHAT ARE ENVELOPMENTS?
What is an Envelopment you might ask? Well simply put, it is
a "system" utilizing paper colors and different formats as the basis for designing your very own unique
invitation. Envelopment products usually start with a base card, such as
a Pocket Fold, Envelopment,
Folded Card or Z-Card. Then, the fun begins with all
the "layering" possibilities. You can add one layer, ten layers or something in between. The choice
is up to you! But probably the most exciting thing about this line is the vast array of paper colors,
patterns and formats you can choose from. Can you believe there are over 90 paper colors alone to select
from? Utilize the Envelopments product line as the basis for, or to enhance, your invitations and
announcements, communiqués, presentations, mementos, or card crafts. Envelopments offer a beautiful
color palette of stocks cut into distinctive shapes and sizes. Mix and match envelopments, pocket

Envelopments
A popular product, Envelopments are the original and flagship product of the company, and its namesake. Four flaps
open to like a blossoming flower to reveal the contents inside. They can be used as wedding
invitations, photocards, presentation folders. They can be self mailers or go into an outer envelope.

Pocket Folds
Pocket Folds open to reveal the contents inside which includes a pocket that can accommodate R.S.V.P.
cards, envelopes, maps, folded cards, photos and many other items. Mygatsby.com is the originator

Z-Cards and Folded Cards
Envelopment z-cards stretch out accordion style to reveal three equal panels of design
surface. They can be used as invitations, seasonal greeting cards, photo holders and for
other card crafts. Folded cards are two panel scored stocks that can be used in a landscape
or portrait format. They can be used to create custom seasonal greetings, invites and announcements.

Cardstocks and Paper
Envelopments card stocks and papers are available as full 8.5" x 11" sheets, as pre-cut
backing layers to fit perfectly into your Envelopment, Pocketfolds and Folded Cards or
as custom-cut sizes. Use for layering or to coordinate with other Envelopment products.
Choose from over 90 Envelopment paper colors and patterns.

Outer Envelopes
Envelopes are custom made to accommodate Envelopments, Pocket Folds, Z-cards, folded
cards and flat card stocks. Only single outer envelopes are available with the
Envelopments line. These square flap envelopes are available in classic ecru, classic
white and translucent vellum. Want your return address printed? No problem. MyGatsby.com
offers return address printing on all of our paper envelopes. Your return address
will be printed on the envelope flap in the typestyle of your choice.

ENVELOPMENT CARDSTOCK CLASSIFICATIONS
Due to the enormous amount of choices available in the Envelopments line, you will want to fully
understand the product line and classification of their cardstocks before getting started.
Envelopment cardstocks
are broken into 4 main groups or categories. They are as follows:
Standard Colors, Group C1
Standard color papers are usually between 70-90 lb. weight depending on the color stock
itself. Available in over 40 colors, they are the least expensive category.
Metallic Colors, Group C2
Metallic color papers are usually between 80-110 lb. weight, and all have an iridescent
and/or shiny sheen to them. Available in over 25 colors, they are the most popular category of products for MyGatsby.com.
Botanical Colors, Group C3
Botanical color papers are handmade papers using real flowers and foliage to create
natural appeal. They are available in 3 different patterns.
Anna Griffin Colors, Group C4
Envelopments and Anna Griffin, one of the most notable and recognized names in the
stationery industry, have partnered to offer two of her most popular patterns printed
directly onto Envelopment's cardstocks. The sheer elegance and grandeur look of these
designs will leave people breathless. Available in over 20 colors, they are the most
expensive category offered by Envelopments.
SAMPLES
You need to "touch, feel and see" these papers and formats to truly appreciate the
Envelopments line. We highly encourage you order samples of these color swatches
and formats before placing an order. MyGatsby.com offers samples on virtually all
Envelopment products. Samples range in price from $5.00 to $15.00, depending on
the type of sample ordered.
$5.00 samples will usually include one Group of cardstocks (for example Metallic
Color swatches), and the specific size you have ordered. So, for instance, if you
select 5-1/8 x 7-1/8 Cardstock Metallic
Colors, your sample will include all metallic cardstocks available, plus one
piece metallic cardstock precut to 5-1/8 x 7-1/8.
$15.00 samples are printed Mix 'n Match samples, usually including all cardstocks
available (Standard, Metallic and Anna Griffin) and the printed sample you have
selected. So, for instance if you select the 4x9
Pocketfold Invitation - Anna Griffin Color , you will receive the printed
sample pocket fold invitation shown, and swatches of standard, metallic and
Anna Griffin cardstocks available.

MyGatsby.com's printed Mix 'n Match invitations are designed to allow you the freedom to
customize your invitation, creating one that is unique and more personal. The first 3 things you need to decide are:
1. Whether you want a Pocket Fold or an Envelopment
2. What size you want: 4 x 9, 5 x 5, 5 x 7 or 7 x 7
3. Whether you want a standard, metallic, or Anna Griffin color Pocket Fold or Envelopment
(see descriptions of Envelopment cardstock classifications below).
Once you've selected your base format (Pocket Fold or Envelopment), the rest is easy! You
can start adding items to your invitation like the backing layer, printing layer, response
and reception cards, a pressed flower or a motif. The customize process allows you to
choose your typestyle, colors and other options that are available. The result is an
invitation that is all your own!
Mygatsby.com offers the following items below printed. You can select from 2 printing
types: flat black ink digital offset, or raised ink thermography in a variety of ink
colors. Please note that not all paper choices are available or suitable for flat black ink printing.
Printing Layer
The printing layer is the actual cardstock that your invitation wording will be printed
on, and is available on most Envelopment cardstocks. In most cases, MyGatsby.com offer
3 different sizes of printing layers for each base format (Pocket Fold or Envelopment).
What size you choose is purely your preference, usually dependent on how much wording
you will need printed, and what size border you wish to have for your backing layer to peek through.
Reception Card
The reception card is a panel card and is available on most Envelopment cardstocks.
Our price includes one sided printing. It is usually the smallest card in your enclosure
set. Although MyGatsby.com calls this card the "Reception Card", you may also use this
size for many other different cards, such as an Accommodations Card, Detailed Info card
or Transportation Card. The choice is up to you.
Response Cards
The standard response card is a double-sided postcard that includes your response information
on one side, and your name/return address on the reverse. It is available on most Envelopment
cardstocks. If you desire, outer Respond envelopes are available for an additional fee.

Also, should you choose thermography, your response wording will be printed in raised ink
thermography, and your name/return address on the reverse side will be printed in flat ink matching color.
Direction Card
The Direction card is usually the largest enclosure card and is available on most Envelopment
cardstocks. Please be aware that certain sizes will only allow for smaller amounts of text,
so if you know you will have a lot of text, you might want to think about getting a 5 x 7 or
4 x 9 Pocketfold or Envelopment which can accommodate more information. You also have the
option of selecting a second side for printing which many customers find extremely helpful.
Although MyGatsby.com calls this card the "Direction Card", you may also use this size for
many other different cards, such as an Accommodations Card, Detailed Info card or Transportation
Card. The choice is up to you.
Return Address Printing on Outer Envelopes
Having your return address pre-printed on the back of your outer envelope flaps saves you
time and allows you to coordinate it to perfectly match the typestyle you have selected
for your invitations. Don't forget to order the Outer Envelopes with this option.
Proofs
Ordering a proof of "All Printed Items" allows you to review your wording for each item
in the selected typestyle and formatted exactly as it will be printed. You will be able
to make text edits and changes (if any) at this time. Proofs will be sent via email as
an attachment in Adobe Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format).
ENVELOPMENTS ASSEMBLY & MAILING SERVICES
All Mix 'n Match printed invitation arrive to you unassembled. You will need to adhere
the printing layer to the backing layer, and then adhere the two layers to your Pocket Fold or Envelopment.
MyGatsby.com recommends a strong, thing double sided adhesive to put your invitations
together called the Adhesive Transfer Applicator.
You will also need to purchase the tape for
this applicator. One roll of tape will cover about 60 invitations (if applied on all
four sides of your cardstock).
