Thank You Cards

Remember that you will be writing Thanks You’s for much more than the wedding gifts you will receive. Think of the engagement parties, showers, bachelorette party, and other occasions that surround your wedding day. You will likely receive support, love, and generous gifts at each of these events, and you will want to be prepared to send thank you cards as soon as possible.

Similar to a “We’ve moved!” card, this piece of stationary lets you tell friends and family of your new address and the date you will begin residing there. When these cards match your wedding invitation, they simply tie together one more component of this very special time in your life, and keep all your loved ones informed.
Pew cards are otherwise known as within-the-ribbon cards. You can honor special guests at the ceremony by sending these cards to guests in advance and asking them to bring the cards to the event. This lets the usher know who gets the special treatment, and these guests of honor will be seated in reserved pews closest to the altar, or “within the ribbon”.
Programs are a nice way to ensure that all your attendees understand what’s going on during the ceremony. Programs can also be used as tributes to special people in your lives. Many couples choose to have a page dedicated “in loving memory” to a loved one. Many brides and grooms also choose to recognize the wedding party within the programs by including descriptions or fond memories of their bridesmaids and groomsmen. If you are having friends or relatives do readings it’s also nice to acknowledge those people in the program.
